Kick Off Summer with The Great Brooklyn Grill Out

Nothing says summer like grilling outdoors, and this year summer kicks off with a grill out event the likes of which Brooklyn has never seen! The producers of CookOut NYC and Food Party on the Pier are hosting The Great Brooklyn Grill Out on Saturday, May 27th, at the outdoor pavilion of the Food Sciences Academy of Long Island University – Brooklyn. Featuring multiple grilling stations, celebrity chefs, a grilled cheese competition, craft beer, cider and select spirits (must be 21+ to consume alcohol), Brooklyn Grill Out will offer up four hours of all-inclusive eating, drinking and enjoying live entertainment suitable for all ages.

It’s all part of a summer series of events that will include the return of Food Karma Feasts at the Farm on Kent, along with the 9th Annual July Good Beer Month (WNYC’s Craft Beer Jam, Edible’s Good Beer and the Good Beer Seal Awards), and the return of Pig Island this September.

Features of the Great Brooklyn Grill Out will include:

  • All-access tickets include an open bar (craft beer, cider, spirits sampling) and food
  • Hard cider and craft beer options, including Downeast Ciders and Sixpoint, plus additional softdrinks
  • All-American Food, including grilled cheese stations, American-style BBQ, vegetarian dogs and portabella burgers, chicken tacos, porchetta sandwiches, ribs, fermented foods (pickles and Kimchee), ice cream, and others TBA
  • Live music or DJ and cooking demos throughout the day
